A Minecraft server written in Rust

Most Minecraft servers run on Java and need a lot of memory and a long time to start. Our free servers use Pumpkin, a modern Minecraft server written in the Rust programming language. Rust servers are extremely efficient: they start in about a second and use only a fraction of the memory. That is how we can offer free Minecraft hosting to many players at once.

Perfect for friends, testing and quick sessions

Whether you want a private Minecraft server for you and your friends, a quick test world, a server for your school class or just want to try out how a Minecraft server works: create one in one click, play and come back whenever you like. Your management link gives you full control with start, stop, restart, a live console and simple settings for game mode, difficulty, PvP, hardcore mode, whitelist and world seed.

Honest and simple

We keep things simple and transparent. Each free server supports up to 20 players and 100 MB of world storage. Servers that are not used for 7 days are stopped, and deleted after 14 days, so resources stay available for everyone. Pumpkin is still in active development, so not every vanilla feature is complete yet, but it is great for building, exploring and playing together.

One plan. Completely free.

Why is it free?

Pumpkin is written in Rust and needs only about 40 MB of RAM per idle server. Classic Java servers need 10–20× more. That efficiency lets us run many servers on one machine and give them away for free.

No ads, no data selling, no premium tier. Unused servers are cleaned up automatically so there is room for everyone.
